I’m far from a Francophile but I do love almost everything French: from thier oozy goey soft washed rind cheeses to their famous bagette au poivre; from the Louve to Monet’s Musee de l’Orangerie; from the magnificence of Byzantine Notre Dame and it’s flying buttresses to the more refined afternoon glow in the Sainte Chapelle.
Journeying through Paris is a true delight of gastronimoc tastes, textures and visual feasts of art and architecture. But on our trips there we also had the oppotunity to journey outside its arrondissements to other cities and towns to discover some unexpected delights that made us fall in love with France all over again.
